NEW GENERATION PARLOUR FOR FAMILY FARM   

When the Griffin family, of New Barn Farm Bruton, started to think about replacing their 30 year old Fullwood rotary parlour their aim was to invest in a plant which would enable them to give the cows individual attention at milking time and enable accurate record keeping.  So, after considerable research, they decided to install (in a new building on the site of the long since redundant abreast parlour which the rotary replaced in the early ‘70s) a 12-point, fully automatic, Fullwood tandem milking plantwith all of the data then being processed (along with all of the other herd records) by the unique windows based Fullwood Crystal Herd Management program installed on the farm computer.

As well as the order to supply and install the parlour we were also given the role as “main contractor” for the entire project (this involved liaison both at the planning stage and during construction of the building) undertaking the plumbing and electrical installation for the whole site. The supply and installation of a new Fullwood 10,000lt DX cooling system into the new dairy/office building - created from the recently refurbished grade II listed traditional stone barn.

     The 12 point auto tandem plant is of the very latest specification and includes the new Fullwood Afiflow milk meters, Legato 24 volt pulsators, Fullwood pedometers, auto identification and fusion parlour management system -

We also supplied and installed a range of new ancillary equipment including an automated Fullwood shedding gate, Froment generator, Cotswold automatic teat spray system, Loheat water heaters and a JWT wash down system.
