John Wallis Titt & Co is a private company, which has, for the last 120 years served the farming community.

The founder, John Wallis Titt, was a farmer’s son from the village of Chitterne, on Salisbury plain.  He did his apprenticeship – as an engineer - with Wallis & Stephens the traction engine manufacturers at Basingstoke.  He then set up his own business in Warminster in 1867, firstly concentrating on contracting with traction engines and then moving into the manufacture of wind pumps and other agricultural equipment, as well as supplying the many needs of the local farming community.  A number of his descendants are still shareholders in the business.

During the last 10 years we have, whilst retaining our commitment to agriculture, also widened our activities so as to supply equipment and services to non-farming customers. This includes water systems for industrial and domestic customers, Kubota compact tractors to commercial and private users, and the servicing and installation of air conditioning and refrigeration systems for industry.
